Hunt Power was established in 1998 to seek opportunities in various utility industries and develop and invest in entrepreneurial electric and gas utility projects, including traditional regulated assets as well as renewable and alternative energy markets.

Our largest project to-date has been the creation of Sharyland Utilities, L.P., a transmission and distribution electric utility located in South Texas, and owner of the first commercial DC transmission interconnection between Texas and Mexico. Sharyland Utilities is an active developer of new transmission throughout Texas.
